Nathan Aspinall was one of the standout performers of the opening round at the
Poland Darts Masters in Warsaw on Friday. Averaging nearly 106, 'the Asp' was too good for his opponent Boris Krcmar (6-2).
"I've been playing really well over the last probably two months and since I've sorted my throw out, I can actually throw darts without thinking about it. I'm dead happy at the moment," a delighted Aspinall told Online Darts. "He's a fantastic player and he's a big lad! He's not a player you want to beat. He's a scary guy. But I enjoyed it. It was a good game played in a good spirit."
Looking forward, Aspinall faces Gerwyn Price in the quarter-final and 'the Asp' is growing in confidence. "I feel fantastic. I'm playing with Stephen Bunting, practicing every day. He's playing well, he's bringing my game on and I'm just in a great headspace and my darts are flowing."
"I'll be very tough to beat if it all comes together, but listen tomorrow is another day," Aspinall concludes. "When I feel like this I'm a tough guy to beat and hopefully this is the start of a great weekend."
