"I wouldn't say I deserve to be in at the minute": Dobey gives stance on Premier League after dumping out Cullen

Chris Dobey after a run to the latter stages of the PDC World Darts Championship was in form again as he saw off Joe Cullen in a superb win at the 2023 Masters with the defending champion falling by the wayside.

A checkout in particular stood out in the form of the 125 and he said it was a game changer that then allowed him to flow.

"He scored fantastic, mid game the 125 changed the game. I think he was on top early doors and I found myself chasing. From then, the 140's started kicking in and my finishing wasn't too bad so I was happy with that win," said Dobey post match.

Like everyone, the Premier League is certainly on the mind of 'Hollywood' but he admits certain players deserve to be in over him and that he has to play himself into the reckoning.

"It'd be nice to get in but I have to play myself in. I've got to play my game and if the opportunity comes you're obviously not going to knock it back.

"I wouldn't say I deserve to be in at the minute, there's people who have won major tournaments that could be in before me. If I continue my form and win this, you've seen the last couple of years there's been an opportunity to take the Premier League spot."
