''I'd had so much beer I didn't even remember meeting her'' - Smith on his remarkable first meeting with wife Dagmara

Michael Smith has been happily married to his wife Dagmara for over four years. They said yes to each other in January 2019. To the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, 'Bullyboy' opened up about their first meeting.

''She lived in Ireland and we once played a tournament there for a PDC event. For £100 anyone could enter. I'd had so much beer I didn't even remember meeting her. I had lost my coat and phone,'' Smith began his remarkable story.

Dagmara, however, had not forgotten the current world champion. ''When I got home I created a Facebook account for the first time in my life and she was the first one to add me as a friend. I thought: what the f*ck is this? She asked if I remembered her. 'Sorry, but no,' was my response. She informed me that she had my coat because I was too drunk to put it on. Then we spent the day together and now look: we're ten years and two kids down the road.''
