Boris Krcmar has progressed through to round 2 at the 2024
PDC World Darts Championship. The Croatian defeated Keegan Brown 3-1 on Tuesday afternoon, setting up a tie with Dirk van Duijvenbode in the next round.
"I know if I play my game I can beat anybody. Today I played really good, I felt comfortable and I played my game," the Croatian revied in his post-match press conference. Despite averaging nearly 20 points more than Brown in the first set, Krcmar actually trailed 1-0. "I controlled the first set but missed set darts. I just said 'Boris, just play your game. You have everything, just play and I can win.'"
Although still waiting for his real breakthrough performance, Krcmar has been impressive for a long while now. "In soft tip I win everything," he says. "In soft tip I'm an eight time World Champion. I want to be one of the best in steel tip but we will see. I hope."
With an injured Dirk van Duijvenbode awaiting Krcmar in round 2, there is possibility for the Croatian to go on a good run. "Dirk is one of the best players but I will give my best and I hope I can win," says Krcmar.
