Luke Littler made it to the semifinals after a masterclass against Michael van Gerwen on Night 7 of Premier League Darts 2024 in Nottingham, England.
Thanks to a multitude of 180 scores, Littler reached an average of no less than 114. Van Gerwen himself recorded an average of 110.94 per turn, but in the end that proved to be enough for only two legs.
The first four legs were all decided by a break, but then Littler managed to take a 4-2 lead with a 12-darter and a 14-darter. Another 12-darter then made it 5-2, before "The Nuke" finished the match with an 11-darter.
In the semifinals, Littler will take on Nathan Aspinall. The reigning World Matchplay champion recorded a hard-fought 6-5 victory over Rob Cross. The other semifinal will be between Peter Wright and Luke Humphries.
