Demand for tickets to the Betfred World Matchplay 2025 has never been higher. Within record time, all tickets for the prestigious darts tournament in Blackpool sold out.
From July 19 to 27, the iconic Winter Gardens will be the scene of another battle for the Phil Taylor Trophy, with 32 top darters competing.
Ticket sales began Monday with an exclusive pre-sale for PDC TV subscribers, and demand was overwhelming. Within one day, nearly all tickets were sold. In the second part of the ticket sale on Tuesday, for fans who had registered, the remaining tickets were sold out within minutes.
For those who were unable to get tickets, there is still an option to watch live darts in Blackpool. There are still tickets available for the Women's World Matchplay. This tournament will take place on Sunday afternoon, July 27.
In 2024, the World Matchplay was won for the first time by Luke Humphries. The world number one dealt with Michael van Gerwen (18-15) in an exciting final. Both men will be in the tournament again this year, as will reigning world champion Luke Littler. The field consists of the top 16 players in the world rankings and the 16 best Pro Tour players.
