Dirk van Duijvenbode is through to the Quarter-Finals of the European Championship after seeing off James Wade.
Van Duijvenbode produced a 10-7 win with a 95 average and seven 180's as he progressed through with a late surge proving vital for 'The Titan'.
"You never beat James easily, just happy. I think I was lucky sometimes that he missed doubles and I didn't on those particular times so I'm just happy," said Van Duijvenbode on Online Darts.
"We don't play that often (on good record over Wade), I think we've played 3-4 times in seven years so you can't really say something about that record. Played him twice this year and only one on stage and I won that one."
On facing Danny Noppert, it's not a game he wants to play due to the consistency of his compatriot.
"It's just a very tough opponent, you can't miss against Danny as well. Hopefully I manage to go through again."
But he admits that there is still some mental scarring there from a recent injury.
"It doesn't feel comfortable at the moment. I'm not there yet. I had some problems with my wrist and I'm getting past that. It doesn't bother me anymore but I need to recover mentally."
