Brendan Dolan is into the last sixteen at the World Darts Championship. 'The History Maker' defeated Gerwyn Price 4-2 in the third round.

Three years ago, Dolan lost to Price in the same round. "To beat someone like Gezzy is unreal,” Dolan said afterwards. “I have the utmost respect for Gezzy. He is pure class. He didn’t play as well as he could have, and I took out some crucial finishes, which gave me the belief that it could be my night."

Dolan has been around the darts scene for a long time but surely this must rank as one of his most spectacular victories. "It’s a big result for me, but I’m here to win. I know it’s going to be a battle to get there, but I’m ready to fight.”

"I do want to say that I have a special respect for Gerwyn, he absolutely does not deserve this booing, he is a great player."

Dolan will take on the winner of the duel between Gary Anderson and Boris Krcmar in the next round. "It's definitely not going to get any easier," he laughed. "I'm looking at it match by match, but if I can keep up this form, I definitely have a good chance."
