Gerwyn Price sealed a third title in the space of five events and didn't allow Daniel Klose's dream of a maiden title to become reality at
Players Championship 21.
Price saw off the German 8-6 in the final in Barnsley, albeit spent most of it beating himself up both literally and figuratively that he wasn't producing his best.
But compared to last time out when he wasn't pleased with how he played in sealing both titles, he felt better about it this time and ready to attack the big TV tournaments to come including the World Series Finals and the World Grand Prix.
“I played pretty well today,” claimed Price.
“I’m playing well even though sometimes I’m losing, but I was beating myself up in that final. I missed loads of doubles, but thankfully they didn’t cost me.
“I thought I didn’t play particularly well in Germany [last weekend]. I just did enough to win, but today I played a lot better.
“It is nice to be back in the winner’s circle and it’s a boost of confidence ready for the big TV events.”
