James Wade produced a superb comeback from 5-2 down to defeat Steve Beaton in an 8-6 win in the final of
Players Championship 30, the last ProTour of the season.
Wade will play in the Grand Slam of Darts Qualifier later today and was honest about his current darting plight that it's his fault that he will have to keep his ever present record.
โI needed that,โ revealed Wade.
โI think Iโve got a little bit of love back for the game. Itโs a new chapter for me and Iโm really keen again.
โItโs my own fault that Iโm in the position Iโm in. Iโve been lazy, complacent and thatโs why Iโm finding myself playing in the Grand Slam qualifier tomorrow.
โIf youโre hungry and youโre keen you win titles. If youโre not, you donโt. I need to win, because I need to get back up the rankings.โ
