Beaton qualifies for 32nd consecutive World Darts Championship with superb ProTour run

Early on Saturday, Steve Beaton wasn’t thinking about his potential first title in five years and the name of the game was qualification for the Players Championship Finals and PDC World Darts Championship.

Beaton achieved both with a win over Nathan Rafferty seeing his spot sealed at a 32nd consecutive World Darts Championship over both codes in BDO/WDF and PDC.

From there, he was on a free roll and lost in the final to James Wade but fans of the Bronzed Adonis will be delighted to see him return to the Alexandra Palace next month.
