"It's not if, it's when": Canadian duo oozing with confidence with firm World Cup of Darts goal

Viewed by many as a dark horse for the World Cup of Darts before the tournament started, Canadian duo Jeff Smith and Matt Campbell have done little to temper expectations with an impressive group stage performance.

"I've been looking forward to this for months. Getting to play with Matt again," said the recent US Darts Masters runner-up Smith to Online Darts. "As far as I'm concerned I'm the second best player in this team and I'm just going to ride this guy's coattails."

Whatever the pair have been doing, so far it's been working a treat. Wins over India and Hungary have seen the Canadian pair ease into the knockout stages where they face off with Sweden.

"It's not if, it's when. When we decided we're going to play together, we are going to be a handful for any team in here and they know that." Smith continues. "If we can play another game of darts, hit four more doubles, we'll be through to the next round."
