Following his first nightly success of this year's Premier League Darts last week in Berlin, Jonny Clayton has vowed to begin in earnest his play-off charge.
After being a Premier League Darts champion on debut in 2021 and table topper in last year's edition, the Ferret has found wins harder to come by this time around, with Night Nine last time out yielding his first.
"Things haven't been going my way. When you know you can play great darts but it's not happening, that feeling hurts," he tells Sky Sports.
"We all go through it and to bounce back last week was fantastic. If I want to make the final four, I've got to put everything into it and last week was a good start."
With wins over Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen, Clayton had arguably the toughest route possible to his victory.
"I beat the best three players in the world at the moment, so hopefully this is the start of things to come," says the Ferret who now trails fourth placed Nathan Aspinall by just three points. The duo face off in a mouth-watering quarter-final tie in Birmingham tonight.
