Gerwyn Price stoked the flame when it came to a potential Iceman v Green Machine showdown with Michael van Gerwen at the PDC World Darts Championship as he saw off Jonny Clayton to reach the Quarter-Finals.
Kevin Doets or Chris Dobey now await as despite not being at his sparkling best, Price has managed to get through the rounds which is something he has struggled with in recent months as he has shown form without results on tour.

"It was similar to the Joe Cullen game I flew out the blocks I knew I was playing well first two sets and then let him back in. Had a kick up the backside, started playing a little better again but fell over the winning line," said Price post match.
"I just didn't want to let him get in front I just want to keep the pressure on and make sure he didn't just get his head that little bit in front and thankfully I won that next set, went 3-2 up and fell over the winning line."
"I probably wasn't myself up on stage but I played all right early but I'll be myself for the Quarter-Final. Obviously the first two sets I felt like I was playing really well but I just don't know what happens after that. But it doesn't matter I'm into the Quarter-Finals and if I can play like I did the first two sets for the rest of the tournament, I'll be tough to beat."
He then had a smile on his face as he discussed a potential Michael van Gerwen semi-final as the mind games begin. "I've played Michael probably six or seven times the last couple of months in exhibitions and I've smashed him every time. So if I play him in the semi-final hopefully he thinks about that."
While he also claimed the draw is wide open whilst also not having an answer really as to why he loves playing at Ally Pally despite some crowd vitriol at times.
"I think everybody's concentrating on their own game. You have it a little bit in your own mind when you see someone playing well like Callan Rydz. He's on the other side of my draw. Michael's not playing perfect. The draw is wide open, it doesn't matter who's playing well who is playing bad. It's on the day."
"I don't know why I do so well here, it's a tough place to come. But this year has been fantastic for me. Like today I was in the zone, I don't know if they were cheering for me or Jonny."
