It is double Dutch so far at the
Austrian Darts Open in terms of players through to face the seeded players in the second round with
Danny Jansen the first through.
Jansen who recently claimed a maiden ProTour title has transitioned onto the
European Tour in fine fashion marking his debut with a 6-1 demolition job of fellow recent new Tour Card holder, Radek Szaganski.
But in truth as the scoreline suggests, the man with the Mullet also known as 'Menum Power' blew him away with a 101 average, two 180's and a 121 checkout en route. Some display from the rising Dutch youngster.
While Graz got to see another dose of
Wesley Plaisier, one of the main stars of the last European Tour in Munich.
The non Tour Card holder in again as an Associate Member saw off Matt Campbell with another fine display winning 6-3.
This off the back of reaching the German Darts Grand Prix Quarter-Finals and it was a 96 average for the Dutchman as he joined Jansen in the second round.
Jansen now faces Luke Humphries, the last winner on the European Tour. While for Plaisier, it is Nathan Aspinall third up tomorrow afternoon.
