Talented youngster Luke Littler qualified earlier this month for the
UK Open, the next major tournament at the PDC. But Littler is not the only 16-year-old talent to make his appearance in Minehead.
Last weekend, 16-year-old Thomas Banks managed to qualify for the UK Open via one of the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers. Through these Rileys Amateur Qualifiers, 16 amateur darters get the opportunity to compete against PDC Tour Card holders at the FA Cup of Darts.
Banks was the strongest at the qualifying tournament in Harlow, near London. Qualifiers were also held in Chorlton and London Victoria. Those were won by Callum Loose and Darryl Pilgrim respectively.
