Jenkins claims final group win of first week in Icons of Darts League Phase Two

The final action of the first week of Phase Two in the MODUS Icons of Darts League is complete with Andy Jenkins finishing on top of the standings.

Jenkins claimed four wins and two defeats which put him on eight points ahead of Scott Mitchell and Arron Monk who finished the same but with inferior leg difference.

After an initial 4-0 defeat to Jason Askew to begin the day, he went on a four match unbeaten run taking in wins over Arron Monk (4-1), Wessel Nijman (4-0), Mark Webster (4-2) and finally Scott Mitchell (4-2).

His fate was sealed though towards the end of the day as despite Michael Warburton who was the last group winner but wasn't on the same form today claimed his first win at the fourth attempt over Jenkins 4-2.

But despite Scott Mitchell claiming a 4-3 win over Mark Webster to move onto six points, his inferior leg difference saw Jenkins assured of top spot.

Mark Webster had one of his best days of the MODUS leagues finishing fourth on six points with Jason Askew behind on leg difference and Wessel Nijman and Mike Warburton two previous standouts finishing sixth and seventh.
