Johan Engstrom gets to compete in the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen from April 19-21. 'Sweet Ferret' managed to secure a starting ticket through the PDC Nordic & Baltic Qualifier on Thursday.

The Swedish dart player successively defeated Paavo Myller (6-3), Dmitriy Zhukov (6-3), Dennis Nilsson (6-1) and Darius Labanauskas (6-5) before Engstrom won 6-2 over Jani Laurila in the final. In the final, Engstrom also threw a creditable average of 97.75.
For Engstrom, it will be his eighth participation on the European Tour. In his previous seven participations, the 47-year-old dart player managed to qualify for the second round only once.
