Jonny Clayton to face Josh Rock in last ProTour final of 2024 at Players Championship 30

The final is set at Players Championship 30 and it is one that is bound to hit the heights as Josh Rock faces Jonny Clayton shortly in Leicester.
Clayton is into his second Players Championship final of the year following a 7-4 success over Ryan Searle with a 103.2 average. He has been in some form recently and could get his reward with a return to the winners' circle.
While Rock who ended last season as the real player to watch hasn't hit the same heights but perhaps the lack of pressure now will see him flourish again. He saw off William O'Connor 7-3 with a 99.9 average. It is his fourth final of the year on the ProTour.

- I agree. There needs to be a points system and preferably just a rolling one year. World Championship should earn the most points though it can be argued that the current qualification system does see a fair few players qualify from regional country qualifiers who would struggle to hold down a place on the Pro Tour. If prize money won is going to remain as the determining factor for ranking then the World Championship should just consist of the 128 Tour Card Holders. Another option would be to take the World Championship out of the rankings and have it as the stand alone pinnacle that you qualify for by winning certain tournaments or your ranking position, sort of like a GSOD+.Mysstree05-04-2025
