The first semi-final is confirmed at the 2024 Swiss Darts Trophy in Basel with Josh Rock set to face off against Martin Schindler in the latter stages in Switzerland.
Rock in particular starred with the former World Youth Champion smashing the World No.1, Luke Humphries to begin the evening. It was a 6-1 pummelling from 'Rocky' as he averaged 96 and hit three maximums en route to the win.
Humphries wasn't poor averaging 94 himself and keeping up in the scoring stakes. But in particular he was poor on the outer ring. He hit only 7.1% on the doubles. This accounted to 1/14 and proved to be his undoing as Rock took full advantage.
In comparison, the Northern Irishman was superb as he hit 6/17 on the doubles including two blockbuster ton plus checkouts with a high of 155. The World No.1 is now out.

While Martin Schindler ended the superb run of Raymond van Barneveld. The German who has been one of the standout players in the past 18 months continues to strut his stuff on the European Tour.
Schindler edged past 'Barney' in a 6-4 win. He averaged 95 and hit three 180's en route to the win. He also had a flourish to win it in a superb display. He hit 160 to win. Van Barneveld in particular was good on the outer ring hitting 4/6 on the doubles. But the superb finish from Schindler ended those hopes.
Schindler surged into a 2-0 lead. But Van Barneveld hit back with two 15 darters to make it 2-2. Schindler broke but Van Barneveld hit straight back. But a break and a hold from Schindler made it 5-3. Van Barneveld looked to force a decider breaking back at 5-4 down but Schindler produced the epic finish to stop that in its tracks.
