Ryan Searle and
Callan Rydz, following Josh Rock and Martin Schindler, have qualified for the semifinals at the 2024
Swiss Darts Trophy. With that, the lineup for the semifinals is now complete.
Rydz kept himself in the race for World Grand Prix qualification by beating James Wade 6-2. 'The Machine' played a somewhat mediocre match with an average of 84. Rydz countered with an average of 94.
'The Riot' broke his English compatriot right away in the first leg and then took a 2-0 lead with a 117 finish. Wade then grabbed the third leg, before Rydz made it 3-1 via double 7. Wade then closed to 3-2 again by throwing out 56.
Rydz then closed the gap anyway, first finishing 76 and then throwing a 15-darter to make it 5-2. Rydz then secured the victory with a 72 check-out.
Searle then became the last semifinalist at the Swiss Darts Trophy. 'Heavy Metal' reached his second consecutive semifinal on the Euro Tour by dealing with Daryl Gurney (6-2) in his match.
