Seven-time world snooker champion Ronnie O'Sullivan dished out some praise to Luke Littler for how he is coping on the big stage, handing out some key advice after he endured a similar pathway to the top of his chosen sport.
The duo both burst onto the scene at a young age. They both won their first major title at 17, with Littler going on to clinch the World Championship title at that same age. They have both created numerous headlines in their own sports, dominating from early on. While O'Sullivan has already been through this, The Nuke is currently going through the process now.
O'Sullivan admitted that Littler was streaks ahead of him when comparing each other at that age. Littler has already won six major titles, with a plethora of more titles possibly on the horizon.
"He’s number one already, winning tournaments," O'Sullivan said in an interview with the Daily Star Sport. "It’s only a matter of time before he’s officially number one. I wasn’t like that - I was top seven, top eight, then top four. But the kid’s out on his own. Phenomenal.”

The Rocket was vastly impressed with how Littler carried himself, stating that he was surrounded by good people while also being in awe of what he can do on the dart board. He went on to advise Littler to not get carried away with himself and remaining sensible, as his popularity continues to soar.
"I think he’s pretty smart, pretty sure of himself. He knows his game," O'Sullivan said. "There’s no one-size-fits-all - you have to find how you work best. Sometimes you don’t need to be at your best every time, sometimes you just peak at the right time. He seems very good at working it out for himself. I think for everyone, just keep your feet on the ground if you can - that’s the main thing. He seems to have a good family and is doing all the right things.”
Littler is currently in Leicester competing in the World Grand Prix, looking to add yet another major title to his catalogue. He has already gotten the better of Gian van Veen, reigning champion Mike De Decker, Gerwyn Price, and Jonny Clayton in the semi-finals. While playing some inconsistent darts across the week, the quality is still very much on show.
If he is going to take it for the maiden time, he will have to defeat world number one and 2023 champion Luke Humphries, in what is set up to be another thriller between the pair.
