Kay managed to win four of his five matches on Thursday. He defeated Bradley Kirk (4-2), Jamie Lewis (4-3), Kevin Burness (4-0) and Stephen Burton (4-2).
Only Dave Parletti could defeat Kay, but Parletti himself did not go further than three victories today.
Burness ended up with four victories but lost on leg difference to Kay. The players of this group play games against each other on Thursday and Friday afternoon. The numbers one and two of this group then go to the final group on Saturday.
In the evening sessions, Shaun McDonald, Matthew Dennant, Darren Beveridge, Jamie Clark and Greg Ritchie play against each other twice.
Also in this group there are two places available for Saturday. Martin Adams already qualified for this final group by winning the first group of this week.
Unlike the first edition of the MODUS Online Live League in 2020, the game will not be played online via a webcam connection, but at a location in Southampton, England. The matches can be followed via the Online Darts YouTube channel .
