Mervyn King will take on Simon Whitlock in the last Quarter-Final this evening after victories over Corey Cadby and Gerwyn Price respectively.
King was taking on Cadby in what commentator Dan Dawson described as the Royal Rumble of Darts with the two King's taking each other on.
It was Mervyn though who came through it edging past the Aussie ace in a 6-4 win. The match begun with neither player really gaining momentum but Cadby took the early advantage at 3-2 in front.
King wrestled it back though to go 5-3 up smashing in a brilliant 160 checkout en route. Cadby kept it alive but it was the Bradwell ace who came through in the end.
Whitlock then took on Price who had the momentum after his heroics of Saturday which included a brilliant nine-dart finish.
It was the Aussie though who took the early advantage pouncing on a poor start from Price to go 4-1 up. Price clawed his way back into the match at 4-3 behind upping his average to 96.
Whitlock broke back immediately though to go 5-3 up with a 112 checkout. From there 'The Wizard' held his throw to claim the win with a 96 average and 60 percent on the doubles.
