The penultimate Quarter-Final has been confirmed at the Czech Darts Open with Ian White taking on Jamie Hughes in a potential barnstormer of a clash.
White eased past Andrew Gilding in a 6-1 win which saw 'Diamond' only average 87 but he didn't have to be at his best.
This was due to 'Goldfinger' only averaging 72.5; now the Stoke-on-Trent ace will look for a third
European Tour title of the season especially with Michael van Gerwen now out of proceedings and the field being blown wide open.
Someone who will have something to say about that is
Jamie Hughes who continues to impress and he is through to a second European Tour Quarter-Final of the season.
He claimed a 6-3 victory over Ron Meulenkamp who as a result loses out on reaching the World Matchplay while 'Yozza' keeps his slim hopes of reaching the event alive into the final session.
He will likely have to win the title but with the performance of the day so far in the form of a 102 average shows that he could have it in him.
