Martijn Kleermaker is through to the Last 16 on his PDC World Darts Championship debut where he will play James Wade in a real chance for the Dutchman to reach the latter stages.
This after Kleermaker came through a marathon tie with Joe Cullen going 3-0 up and surviving a huge comeback from 'The Rockstar'.
"I feel so great, what a strange game. 3-0 up no problems at all. He then made it 3-1, doesn't matter to me I was thinking the fifth set is my own set and then I missed the 148 then he came back. Then the audience was yelling and the only thing I thought was keep to yourself, believe in yourself and I did it," said Kleermaker post match.
He had the crowd on his back throughout but for Kleermaker, he admitted that his mindset was important in blocking them out.
"I was thinking I'm the bad guy, no problem. When I hit that 130 in that last set, that was the best 130 in my life. I was feeling so well before this match, I was thinking I'm going to nail this game. Your mindset is so important, I just kept believing. I know when I play my best game, I can beat them all."
