Koltsov won with eight points which amounted to four wins and one defeat in all seeing off Martin Adams (5-4), David Evans (5-3), Dave Parletti (5-2) and Fallon Sherrock (5-1).

His only defeat today came towards the end of proceedings against Scott Marsh in which he lost out 5-3 with a 99 average and four 180's for the latter.

David Evans came back from two early defeats to come second in proceedings having a strong end to the day. He defeated Fallon Sherrock (5-1) and finalised his campaign with wins over Dave Parletti (5-2) and Scott Marsh (5-2).

Scott Marsh finished just behind on leg difference after also accruing six points. One of the best performances of the day though came from Fallon Sherrock.

Sherrock only claimed one victory all day but it came against Martin Adams winning 5-3 with a 103 average, four 180's and 71% on the doubles including a 121 on the bull to win it in the end.

There will be 15 games a day which will be best of 7 legs with two Pools set to be involved as usual. It begins everyday as a result at 10:30 am running till 5:00 pm and sees live action continue.
