Koltsov sees off Evans to claim A Night At The Darts Group One decider

Boris Koltsov has marked a near perfect debut by claiming the first group of the second week of MODUS A Night At The Darts.

Koltsov and David Evans were locked into battle with the winner claiming the overall honours for the first night and it was the Russian ace who came out on top in a 5-3 victory with four 180's and 101 average.

This means an excellent six points from eight available as Koltsov announces himself on his A Night At The Darts debut defeating one of the form players so far in both MODUS ran competitions.

Koltsov saw off en route Jason Askew (5-1), Wessel Nijman (5-4) and of course David Evans in order to claim his six points with his only defeat coming at the hands of Martin Adams who pounced on an under par display.

This ends a superb night of darting action especially in the latter half with Wessel Nijman who finished second on leg difference producing an exceptional display to see off Jason Askew 5-2 with a 108.5 average.

David Evans also produced smashing in a 107 average in a 5-0 win to go alongside 105 for Koltsov and another big average for 'Stretch' in 103 earlier in the night.
