Krcmar breezes past Suzuki to seal maiden win at PDC World Darts Championship, sets up Aspinall clash

Boris Krcmar will face Nathan Aspinall in the second round of the PDC World Darts Championship after finally sealing a first win on the Alexandra Palace stage.

Krcmar averaged only 78 which will need to be better against the in-form Asp but he is finally in the winners' circle against the Japanese ace who missed 10 darts at the doubles and will return to the stage at the Bahrain Darts Masters next month.

Krcmar started superbly with a 112 checkout to hold throw. He missed the bull for an 87 checkout to break and Suzuki returned for a 68 checkout.

Suzuki hit a 180 but Krcmar held on double 19 to go one away from the opening set. Krcmar hit double eight to claim it and go 1-0 up.

Krcmar missed a 118 checkout for the set but returned with Suzuki missing his tenth dart at a double and the Croatian is 2-0 up in sets.

Krcmar broke throw with a 56 checkout on double nine and a 68 checkout on double 18 saw him go one away. Suzuki held throw but Krcmar sealed victory with a 73 checkout.
