Leonard Gates, Jack Male and Joe Croft qualify for UK Open

Joe Croft, Jack Male, and Leonard Gates qualified for the UK Open through the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers last weekend. Sixteen 'Amateur Qualifiers' will be held for this tournament so that amateur darters also get a chance to compete with the world's top players. Anyone without a PDC Tour Card may enter this.

Croft won the qualifying tournament at South Benfleet on Saturday by beating Gates in the final. A day later, Gates still managed to qualify for the UK Open by striking in London Victoria. The qualifier in Liverpool fell to Jack Male.

Next weekend, qualifiers are scheduled in Chorlton, Norwich, Liverpool and Coventry. Earlier David Sumner, Jenson Haines, Ashley Coleman, Jenson Walker, Harry Lane, Harry Gregory, Connor Scutt, Michael Taylor and Jason Hogg won an 'Amateur Qualifier'.
