This Premier League Darts campaign has been ferociously competed by eight of the best players in the world. The final qualifying spots have just about been sewn up with one more week left before finals night. To showcase how competitive the field if, just three players have manged to secure a positive win-loss record.

These players take to the stage against one another week in, week out as they eye up the Premier League title. There has been ups and downs along with shifts in momentum and surprises around every corner, but just ahead of the final week in Sheffield, four players have confirmed their spots in the coveted Finals Night at the O2 where the title will be fought over.

Littler and Clayton the big winners

It will not come as any surprise to hear that Luke Littler has been the best in this year's Premier League. The 2024 champion has confirmed top spot with a hugely impressive six nightly wins which has cemented his position above the rest. He has won 72% of his matches and at one point was on a 10-game winning streak. Incredible numbers when you realise he is playing against the best players in the world.
Jonny Clayton is close behind. 'The Ferret' is also a former Premier League champion having won it back in 2020, but makes a return to the tournament after missing out last year. Seemingly back to his best, the Welshman has won 65% of his matches and played the second most matches out of anyone barring Littler.
Those two and Michael van Gerwen are the only players to win five or more games on the spin in this year's edition. This has not helped the seven-time champion from qualifying for Finals Night, missing out for consecutive years for the first time in his career.
Someone who is not missing out is a relieved Luke Humphries. The reigning champion snuck into the play-off spots at the last minute, reaching the final of Night 15 where him and Gerwyn Price sealed third and fourth in the standings. Humphries has played one more match than Price, but boasts a slightly worse win percentage. He has won half of his 28 matches while 'The Iceman' is just ahead of him on 52%.

Rock's struggles on debut

The biggest loser in this year's Premier League has to be Josh Rock. The Northern Irishman was making his debut campaign and had a lot of belief and hope surrounding his name.
However, it never really worked out. He went seven matches without winning a match, subsequently those were the first seven, and has just picked up four wins from 19 matches played, failing to reach a nightly final.
Josh Rock with his hand on his head

It has also been another disappointing Premier League campaign for Stephen Bunting. Getting in ahead of the likes of Nathan Aspinall, James Wade and Danny Noppert in a contentious opinion for many, he has not been able to live up to the expectation and challenge for a play-off spot. Almost half of his wins came in Night Four when he won the night, winning just four more games from that point. He has the second worst win percentage with 33%.

Gian van Veen started so brightly, but a shift in momentum along with trouble away from the oche prevented his play-off hopes. He and Rock are the only two players yet to win a night. That is not for the want of trying, with the Dutchman having appeared in four finals, losing all of them. This would have been costly at the end of the day with those much-needed points having been crucial.
One last night of action before Finals Night next week will take place in Sheffield.
