Results European Darts Open Tour Card Holder Qualifier Round-Up | Michael Smith falls at final hurdle as Manby, Mansell, Brooks lead Leverkusen

The second Tour Card Holder Qualifier of the day sees the action head towards the European Darts Open held in Leverkusen between July 10-12. Peter Wright, Dimitri van den Bergh and Michael Smith aimed to seal their spots in the draw.

10 in all were available but none of the big names found themselves in the 10th European Tour of the season. Smith lost out in the final round to Bradley Brooks who sealed a 6-4 win with a 94 average.
Other victors included Mario Vandenbogaerde who took down Chris Landman in a 6-5 win for 'Super Mario'. He will take his spot in Germany. While Shane McGuirk also won't be playing though as he was defeated by 'Bolt' Sebastian Bialecki. The Pole averaged 94 as he took down 'The Arrow'.
Jeffrey de Zwaan also won't play in Leverkusen as Rhys Griffin sealed his spot in a 6-5 win. While wins also for Darius Labanauskas who saw off Christian Kist 6-2. Samuel Price also saw off Carl Sneyd. Mickey Mansell was the final through seeing off Alexander Merkx 6-4.

Wright, Van den Bergh and Chisnall out early

Maik Kuivenhoven produced the best display averaging 100 to see off Rob Owen 6-3. Charlie Manby did make it though as 'Champagne' took down Dominik Gruellich 6-4. Lukas Wenig also triumphed over Max Hopp 6-1 in an all German affair.
Peter Wright lost early on to Rhys Griffin 6-5, while Greg Ritchie vanquished Dimitri van den Bergh in some of the other big names trying to make it to Leverkusen. Dave Chisnall, who dominated the European Tour just 18 months ago, also lost early to Vandenbogaerde.

The top names in Leverkusen are Gian van Veen who is top seed alongside Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton, James Wade, Gerwyn Price among others. Luke Littler continues to boycott German events while Luke Humphries also won't play in the main absentees from the line-up. Up next this weekend is Riesa.
