The PDC Pro Tour resumes this week as the Players Championship heads to the Mattioli Arena in Leicester for Events 11 and 12, taking place on Tuesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 9. Over the course of two action-packed days, many of the world’s top darters will battle it out for ranking points and prize money, with live coverage available via PDCTV.
A host of big names have confirmed their participation, including World Champion Luke Humphries, teenage sensation Luke Littler, veterans Gary Anderson, Gerwyn Price, and James Wade. However, several notable absentees include Michael van Gerwen, Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross, Mike De Decker, and Stephen Bunting.

Fans can follow the action from all four streaming boards live on PDCTV, with various subscription options available: a two-day pass for £3.99, monthly access at £9.99, or an annual subscription for £59.99. Selected matches will also be available via betting sites, typically requiring a minimum account balance of €5.
Each Players Championship event offers a prize pool of £125,000, with the winner pocketing £15,000. As always, you can stay up to date with real-time scores and rankings through our live scoring platform.

- I agree. There needs to be a points system and preferably just a rolling one year. World Championship should earn the most points though it can be argued that the current qualification system does see a fair few players qualify from regional country qualifiers who would struggle to hold down a place on the Pro Tour. If prize money won is going to remain as the determining factor for ranking then the World Championship should just consist of the 128 Tour Card Holders. Another option would be to take the World Championship out of the rankings and have it as the stand alone pinnacle that you qualify for by winning certain tournaments or your ranking position, sort of like a GSOD+.Mysstree05-04-2025
