Luke Humphries was yet to beat Luke Littler in this year's Premier League Darts but has finally got one over his rival as he won Night Four in Exeter adding to his tally with a second Premier League Darts night of the season before the UK Open.
Humphries sits at the top of the table with nearly double points compared to his nearest competitors and hit six 180's and a 101.2 average as he won through 6-4 against 'The Nuke' ahead of their respective returns to Minehead this weekend.
Littler made a rip roaring start hitting a 144 checkout for 1-0 but couldn't hit 105 and Humphries returned for 1-1. Littler hit 72 for 2-1 up as he held throw. Littler hit another 180 as he attacked the Humphries throw but 'Cool Hand Luke' was first to a finish at 146. He whittled it down to 48 but didn't pin it and Littler returned for double 10 to make it 3-1.
But Humphries suddenly made it 3-3 as uncharacteristic misses and an 81 checkout saw 'Cool Hand Luke' hit parity at 3-3. Littler pinned double 20 to make it 4-3. Humphries bust his score but Littler missed the 15 entirely for 90 and the former got away with it on double six for 4-4. Littler hit a 180 to leave 80 and Humphries couldn't pin 95. Littler couldn't hit double five either and Humphries made it 5-4. Humphries got a match dart from 122 but missed double 12. He returned though to seal the win.

It was early losses for two of the big hitters early in Exeter. Michael van Gerwen was seen blowing on his hands as if he was cold in the Westpoint after previously being near imperious in this venue. He lost to Rob Cross who has won six out of their last seven clashes.
While Luke Humphries stumbled over the line to see off Gerwyn Price 6-4 despite a flurry of missed darts at doubles. Nathan Aspinall spent most of his clash with Chris Dobey punching his hands in frustration as 'Hollywood' looked in the ascendancy.
But Aspinall managed to battle his way through inflicting a third straight Quarter-Final exit on the Bedlington ace 6-5. One of his best friends off the oche. He managed to win their battle on it.
Prior to that final, Luke Littler produced an utterly incredible display and so did Stephen Bunting in being defeated. 'The Nuke' hit a 112.3 average to claim a spot in the semi-finals. Bunting hit a 104.9 average but couldn't get near Littler who also hit 10 180's en route to victory.

Luke Humphries also produced sublime darts as he look down Rob Cross 6-5 to make it three finals in the opening four weeks of the tournament. He has been the standard bearer thus far and he landed finishes of 167 and 116 to wrap up the narrow win 6-5.
This cementing the aforementioned final which was won by Humphries in the end. A second weekly title win of the season.
