Luke Humphries hammers Ryan Searle to reach semifinals at 2024 Flanders Darts Trophy where Ricardo Pietreczko awaits

Joining Chris Dobey and Dave Chisnall in the final four, Ricardo Pietreczko and Luke Humphries have completed the semi-final lineup at the 2024 Flanders Darts Trophy in Antwerp. A little later this Sunday evening, one of the four men will claim European Tour glory.

Dirk van Duijvenbode sensationally saw off Luke Littler earlier in the afternoon, but in the quarter-finals, Ricardo Pietreczko proved just a bridge too far for the Dutchman. After the first two legs were split, Pietreczko spurted into life, reeling off the next three without reply and stretching into a 4-1 lead. Van Duijvenbode did threaten a stunning comeback, getting back in contact at 5-4 down, but courtesy of a 15 darter in leg 10, it was 'Pikachu' who secured the win.
In the semi-finals, Pietreczko will face off against Luke Humphries. In an expert display from the world champion and world number one, 'Cool Hand Luke' averaged more than 104, with four 180s and six out of twelve on the doubles in a 6-2 beating of Ryan Searle at the Antwerp Expo.
After Humpries started by breaking throw in the opener, the pair exchanged holds of throw until leg 5 when Humphries broke again to move 4-1 clear. Although Searle did pull one more leg back, there was no stopping Humphries who reaches the semifinals in Antwerp.

The Flanders Darts Trophy will be broadcast on PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the Flanders Darts Trophy consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12:00, while the evening sessions start at 18:00.

The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Order of Merit qualifiers and the winners from the various qualifying tournaments then make their appearance. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. Sunday will see the conclusion of the tournament, starting with the third round in the afternoon session. Sunday evening will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

- I loved Jan and loved his walk on music "Explode" by Jordan & Baker. I think if he stuck around the BDO he definitely would have been World Champion, should have won in 2014, he never really showed any of his talent in the PDC. I remembered he worked in a bank or in finance and maybe that was his priority, he was also a fan and interested in magic. Definitely should have achieved much more in darts than he did. - This is exactly what I mean,littler survives the 1st round,I think you'll find a lot of other players did. Can you just report on the real sport,and not just 1 person. I like Luke,but this is getting boring now,as Kevin painter once said to Taylor!!
