The 2024
Premier League Darts rolls into Nottingham tonight for Night 7 of the current edition. After
Luke Littler hit a nine-darter en route to victory at the Belgian Darts Open last weekend it's easy to consider him favourite.
Wayne Mardle though, isn't too sure.
"It wouldn't surprise me if it was Luke and Luke (Humphries ed.) to be fair," the expert Sky Sports analyst previews to William Hill. "They are playing in my opinion, the best of all eight players. The most reliable of all eight players, especially
Luke Humphries."
"In the Premier League so far, only three times has he recorded an average under 100," Mardle continues, full of praise for the World Champion and world number one. "Not over... under! It's incredible. The standard he's playing at is so difficult to beat."
Therefore, Mardle can see Littler being made to wait a little longer for a first weekly win of the season. "It wouldn't surprise if it's Luke Humphries to beat Luke Littler in the final in Nottingham on week seven," Hawaii 501 concludes.
