Luke Littler breezes past out of sorts Peter Wright after Michael van Gerwen seals important win over Gerwyn Price

Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen have recorded important wins this Thursday night in Leeds on Night 15 in the Premier League Darts.

With Van Gerwen sitting dangerously in 4th in the league table, the Dutchman needed points to not miss out on the playoffs. Against Gerwyn Price it did not look good at first, as 'The Iceman' took a 3-1 lead and was allowed to start the odd legs. Through a 12-darter, 84 finish and a 13-darter, Van Gerwen quickly turned the deficit into a 4-3 lead, after which he easily made it 5-3. Price then missed three chances at double 12 to connect at 5-4, after which Van Gerwen decided the match via tops.

In the semifinals of this round of play, Van Gerwen will take on Luke Littler. The 17-year-old teenage sensation handed Peter Wright his fifteenth defeat in seventeen Premier League matches by winning 6-1 over the two-time world champion.
