Luke Littler clear of Luke Humphries in yearly average rankings; Michael van Gerwen down surprisingly low in 7th

Luke Littler has replaced Luke Humphries as the player with the highest yearly average of 2026. After a string of impressive displays in Blackpool, the Englishman has climbed to an average of 101.86 points per three darts. That makes Littler currently the only player besides Humphries to average over 101 this year.

Littler’s rise is no surprise given his recent form. “The Nuke” was in blistering shape again during the World Matchplay and showed in Blackpool why he belongs among the absolute elite. His strong performances have not only produced success and eye-catching numbers, but have also propelled him statistically into first place.

Humphries must settle for second for now. The former world champion sits on a yearly average of 101.07 and also remains well above the magical 100 mark. The gap between the two is less than a point, meaning the battle for top spot could swing either way in the coming months.

Trailing the English super duo at a respectful distance is Gerwyn Price. The Welshman currently averages 99.37 and is third on the list. Price is thus the first player just under the 100 points per three darts threshold, while still clearly close to the very top.

Gary Anderson occupies fourth with a yearly average of 98.67. The Scottish veteran continues to post impressive figures and proves once more that, despite his age, he can still compete comfortably with the world’s best.

Chris Dobey is fifth with a 97.66 average. The Englishman is closely followed by Wessel Nijman, who is just two hundredths short at 97.64. The Dutchman is once again a notable presence in the upper reaches of the statistics.

Nijman has increasingly made his mark on the Pro Tour this season. His strong performances there not only earn him ranking points and prize money, but also put him statistically among big names such as Anderson, Price, and Dobey.

Michael van Gerwen currently rounds out the top seven with a 96.84 average. For the three-time world champion, that means he must for the moment concede some ground to the two players leading the standings.

With months of darts still ahead, plenty can change. Yet the message is clear: Littler and Humphries have opened up a significant gap to the rest. Especially Littler looks ready, after his strong showings in Blackpool, to raise the bar once again.
