Luke Littler gains revenge on Damon Heta to reach quarterfinals at Belgian Darts Open

Luke Littler advanced to the last eight at the Belgian Darts Open with a 6-3 victory over Damon Heta. Littler will play Sunday night in the quarterfinals against the winner of the duel between Joe Cullen and Jermaine Wattimena.

It was the second time in a short period that the two players faced each other. They also met at the beginning of this March at the UK Open and then Heta managed to win 10-8 after a spectacle.
Littler managed to take the initiative in the seventh leg by throwing an 11-darter. He then doubled the lead to 5-3 with a 13-darter. A magnificent 12-darter followed to make the final score 6-3, putting Littler in the last eight on his Euro Tour debut.

- I really enjoyed the Women's Matchplay, Beau seemed slightly nervous but when it mattered, she hit the big scores and required check outs. - Ultimately, Vin man knew when to call it quits. Barney was excellent and one of the greatest darts player ever, but he just doesn't have that ability anymore. Vinman working in media is only saying what he thinks and I like how he doesn't sugar coat things and is completely honest and direct with his comments. - I agree that this season the format was a bit stale, it would be better to have some new faces rotated in through the season. I also think they should vary the format a bit as it doesn't count for rankings, they could have different varieties of 501 (e.g. double start) or just different challenges.mikedarts03-07-2026
- I don't really understand why its an issue that Littler doesn't play in the events, they are barely televised so there is no draw for marketing and it gives the other players a better chance to define their narratives. The events are more of a throw back to old events.
