Luke Littler's wait for
Premier League Darts success maybe nearing it's end. The 17-year-old is into the final on Night 9 in Belfast after a 6-3 win over
Michael van Gerwen.
Having already dispatched the man in form, Luke Humphries in his quarter-final, 6-5, Littler didn't assume early control of this semi. Instead, the first few legs were very tightly fought before a mid-match burst saw Littler break free from 2-2 to 5-2. Although, van Gerwen did pull one back and stay alive at 5-3, the Dutchman couldn't mount a comeback as Littler prevailed 6-3 in the end, averaging just over 99.
In the final, Littler is set to face the winner of the second semi-final between Nathan Aspinall and Peter Wright.
