Luke Littler will combine his two loves on Sunday as he will parade his PDC World Darts Championship trophy around Old Trafford as guest of honour for Manchester United's clash with Brighton.

The 17-year-old will be guest of honour for the clash between United and Brighton having won the World title on January 3 defeating Michael van Gerwen in the final and will be out on the pitch at half time in front of 75,000 people.

Albeit it has been moved and has been perhaps a sombre occasion compared to the fanfare that likely would've come before with the passing of Denis Law, the former Manchester United and Scotland striker.

"Obviously, I'd love to take [the trophy] there. If they allow me to, then I am sure I will go to Old Trafford," said Littler at the World Championship about his wish to bring the title to Old Trafford.

"I saw Michael Smith did it with the world title when he went to St Helens rugby league club."

Littler will also meet with the players post match albeit most already know of the 17-year-old from his visits to the Carrington training base and also gave him good luck and support during his Ally Pally title tilt.

On Tuesday he will turn 18 and is some birthday present to head into the next chapter of his life. He was also seen last night at the Misfits Influencer boxing event headlined by former UFC boxer Darren Till facing Anthony Taylor.

He was backstage in Manchester and was jibed by former World Champion Liam Smith about being a Manchester United supporter and jokingly said not to shake hands with him as a result. This was just over a day after flying home from Bahrain after losing to Gerwyn Price who hit a 115 average to stop him.

He then heads to Den Bosch next week for the Dutch Darts Masters followed by the Winmau World Masters also the weekend after.
