Deta Hedman will head to her 15th Lakeside World Championship later this year after the darting legend won the Las Vegas Open women's title last night defeating Rhian O'Sullivan in the final.
Hedman came from 4-3 down to beat Rhian O'Sullivan 5-4 surviving six match darts in the deciding leg. With the likes of Beau Greaves and Fallon Sherrock who won the title last year at Challenge Tour action and others deciding not to travel, Hedman and O'Sullivan were the class of the field and got to the final as a result.
She now joins Beau Greaves and Lorraine Hyde who have sealed their spots at Lakeside for 2025 already.
While David Cameron will return to Lakeside later this year for the ninth time after he sealed the title at the Las Vegas Open last night. He just missed out on a Tour Card last week but has bounced back in style.
Cameron defeated Jeff Springer Jr in the final 6-3 with a 86.51 average winning legs in 13, 14 and 15 darts.
He defeated James Beeton in the semi-final who also nearly got a Tour Card and played at Lakeside this past December. Cameron now joins in the men's field Marko Kantele and Shane McGuirk who already sealed their qualification. The latter of course as current reigning Lakeside champion.
