Luke Littler and Luke Humphries could well be on a collision course tomorrow night for a final clash but it was very much two contrasting displays from the leading lights at the Bahrain Darts Masters.

For Humphries, it was utterly sublime as he produced a masterclass in finishing. It was his first match since losing to Peter Wright where he certainly wasn't at his fluid best.

But in Bahrain, it was a different story. He whitewashed the Bahrain qualifier Abdulla Saaed 6-0 with the best display of the day so far. He hit a 103.6 average, four 180's and 6/6 on the outer ring in a near perfect display.

Chief to that was some brutal finishing as he took out 151 for 2-0 before slamming in a 144 to increase his lead in what was a triple ton plus checkout salvo out of the four legs won up to that point. His dominance was sealed as he claimed a 6-0 win and he moves on.

As does Littler but it was anything but simple for the new World Champion who said he wouldn't use the darts he won his World title with again. But it seemed like he had a bit of a World Championship hangover as he was tested by Lourence Ilagan.

After surging ahead, Ilagan broke throw to go within one of The Nuke as he went 4-3 down. But Littler always kept him at arms length. He took out 322 in six darts including a 142 checkout to break back and go one away.

He produced when he needed to motoring towards the line with double 20 for 6-3. Not great at times but in his first match since his World Championship triumph and against a tricky opponent, it was never going to fully be a walk in the park.
