Luke Littler throws near record high losing average in Dutch Darts Masters final

Luke Littler came up just short of his second World Series title of the season on Saturday night. The 17-year-old Englishman lost 8-6 to home favourite Michael van Gerwen in the final of the Dutch Darts Masters.

The Dutchman posted an average of 100.59 per turn, while Littler managed to post an even higher 106.71. According to statistics platform Darts Orakel, Littler's average was the highest losing average in a TV final since May 2017.

Then, Van Gerwen's 110.46 average was not enough to win the Dubai Darts Masters. 'Mighty Mike' then went down 11-7 against Gary Anderson, who in turn posted 110.88 average.
