Lukeman sets up repeat clash with Humphries after Dragt rout, Rodriguez eases past Waites as Czech Darts Open begins

The Czech Darts Open has started with three first round ties complete in Prague seeing Martin Lukeman, Rowby-John Rodriguez and Jose Justicia move through to the seeded round.

Lukeman set up a repeat clash with Luke Humphries after they faced off in the final of the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich which 'Cool Hand Luke' sealed.

He was facing Martijn Dragt and sealed a 6-1 win with a 98 average, three 180's and a high checkout of 107 as well as 54.5% on the doubles showing the proficiency of 'Smash'.

It was a similarly proficient display from Rowby-John Rodriguez who eased past Scott Waites 6-2 with a 99.2 average, three 180's and 60% on the doubles. He will now face the super in-form Michael Smith.

Jonny Clayton will face Jose Justicia tomorrow after the Spaniard came through a hard fought win over Miloslav Navratil.

A game which wasn't the highest quality affair evidenced by the 79 winning average. The highlight being a miscount from the Czech Host Nation Qualifier who thought he won the leg by hitting 70 on 85.
