Jules van Dongen has marked his
European Tour at the
Czech Darts Open by easing past Brett Claydon 6-2 to set up a clash with Rob Cross.
Van Dongen won the first three legs of the match but missed a chance to make it 4-0. After that, it became 4-1 after a 96 finish.
Claydon returned with a 72 checkout but Van Dongen returned to the foray after that sealing the win. While
Mickey Mansell prior to that was superb as he sealed his first win on the European Tour in three years.
He saw off Jeffrey de Zwaan 6-4 with a 97 average, four 180's and 60% on the doubles and he has been joined by
Ritchie Edhouse who coasted past Ondřej Plšek with three 180s and a high checkout of 124.
