Manfred Bilderl first ever German competitor at World Seniors Darts Championship

Manfred Bilderl has been added to the field of participants for the 2024 World Seniors Darts Championship. This makes Bilderl the first ever German participant at the senior World Championship.

Bilderl attracted attention at the Europe Super League 2023 when he and Niko Springer delivered a "9-darter battle". Springer managed to throw a 9-darter, while Bilderl was left waiting for his own shot at a 9-darter having had 6 perfect darts.

Bilderl has also appeared on the PDC stage. In 2017, he qualified for the Euopean Darts Trophy and in 2018 he took part in the German Darts Masters (World Series).

The third edition of the senior World Championship will feature 32 players. By now, 23 of these participants have been announced. The field of participants is led by defending champion Robert Thornton.

Also confirmed is the participation of Leonard Gates, Phil Taylor, Martin Adams, Trina Gulliver, Lisa Ashton, Neil Duff, Glen Durrant, Scott Mitchell, Keith Deller, John Part, Kevin Painter, Terry Jenkins, Tony O'Shea, Darryl Fitton, Chris Mason, Mark Dudbridge, Deta Hedman, Andy Hamilton, John Henderson, Richie Howson and David Cameron.
