Michael van Gerwen has very easily qualified for the second round at the
Bahrain Darts Masters. Mighty Mike won 6-0 over Hasan Haji to face Rob Cross in the quarter-finals of the World Series tournament in Bahrain.
The level difference was immense between the three-time world champion and the local qualifier. Van Gerwen managed to produce an excellent average of 106, while Haji threw just 60 average.
Thanks to two 13-darters, Van Gerwen managed to take a 3-0 lead before making it 4-0 via double 1. Van Gerwen then finished it off with an 11-darter and a 15-darter.
Michael Smith escaped elimination against Paolo Nebrida. The Filipino squandered two matchdarts to knock Smith out of the tournament. In the end, the victory went 6-0 to 'Bullyboy'.
