Peter Manley will return to the oche early next year when the World Seniors Darts Championship makes its debut at the Circus Tavern.
Manley hasn't played at the top level in over 10 years and said there will be some trepidation but that he was just glad to be invited.
"I think it's great and full credit to the guys that have finally put this together. I probably feel the same as the majority of some of those bigger names like John Lowe and Bob Anderson, they would have loved to see something a bit sooner when they retire to what it is now but that's how it goes. I'm looking forward to it, it's great to be invited," said Manley to Online Darts.
"It's going to be lovely to see people genuinely miss doubles through panicking and nerves. None of us if we're totally honest haven't got the stage experience that we had. It's 14 years ago that I was last on the Ally Pally stage."
Of course famous for his Amarillo walk on, he was asked whether he will be dancing and singing along at the Tavern.
"I'm not quite sure I'll be dancing to it as where as I used to be knackered just for one leg I think probably the first set had be gone before I'd even got my breath back."
As PDPA Chairman, Manley was asked about Fallon Sherrock getting into the Premier League potentially and the backlash that could ensue.
But he said that there are players who no matter what the criteria wouldn't get in.
"You look at Fallon but then you can look at other players that were quite low that have got in on different years. Players that are up the top there have absolutely no chance of being invited and if they got in the top four, they would change it to the top two. She must be one of the most marketable things out there."
"The PDC are a commercial company that are out there to make money for their shareholders."
