Mardle full of praise for Cullen's timing in Premier League Darts win: "That finishing in the final is why he won"

Joe Cullen wasn't at his best during the latest leg of Premier League Darts action in Rotterdam but saw off Michael van Gerwen in the final for his first weekly win of the tournament.

For Wayne Mardle on the Sky Sports broadcast, it came down to timing for 'The Rockstar'.

"We said at the start of the night that would it be some of what we've already seen or a new winner. Joe took his chances, like he said he didn't feel he played much better this week than he did last week but it's winning those all important last legs and he did it twice," he said on Sky Sports.

"Gary Anderson missed darts to win and that last leg was fantastic but some of that finishing in the final is why he won. The 118, the 98, the 66, just brilliant from him. It's all about timing and tonight's that's what it was all about."
